What is this I Living Lab about?
Context: Urban spaces can be friends of biodiversity, and biodiversity can be a city best friend. Cities can promote biodiversity, it´s an investment that pays back. Biodiversity performs important services in cities, from CO2 absorption to control of floods and plagues, improving peoples’ wellbeing.Challenge: Sustainable cities are not only about energy, water and materials, biodiversity is also vital. In this ILL we wil think about what benefits cities may have by hosting natural values and how to make biodiversity closer to people.
Goal: You will work in an international and multidisciplinary team, adressing a current challenge, through design thinking. Together we will discuss how to promote urban biodiversity and its societal benefits, develop plan action strategies and increase our capacity of critical and systems thinking.
